Joined Spin by Oxxo (now Spin) as a subcontractor. Built and maintained production AWS services like SQS, AppStream, VPC, Cognito, IAM, Identity Center, EC2, EMR, MWAA, EKS, etc. using Terraform.
System Administrator at Infobip (formerly OpenMarket)
March 2018 - June 2021 · Guadalajara, Mexico
Integral part of the TechOps/DevOps department, a globally distributed team of ten sysadmins, with the distinction of being the first and only SA in Mexico. Our team managed thousands of linux servers and a multitude of services across five data centers and five offices worldwide. Responsibilities encompassed administration of both production and corporate/office infrastructure, as well as assets management.
Notable achievements:
- During my first month I was assigned a project to re-ip 109 servers so we could decommission a VLAN, requiring meticulous coordination with development teams spanning various time zones
- Participated in a major project involving the migration of approximately 1000 virtual servers across different KVM hosts to implement full encryption of the hosts themselves, all while facing the constraint of having no spare KVM hosts
- Contributed to the successful HQ office relocation in Seattle
- In 2020, received recognition from the CEO and COO for exceptional work and collaborative approach
- Took the lead in the implementation of ClamAV as part of security measures
System Administrator Team Lead at Amco

Responsible for technical support at headquarters and two facilities, supporting a hybrid environment of MacOS, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS. Administered the whole office IT infrastructure including Windows servers, Linux servers, MacOS servers, network, VOIP, G Suite, CRM, email marketing campaigns, backups, assets inventory and LMS. Led a small team of two engineers.
Highlights:
- Implemented Windows services such as MSRA, WSUS, WDS, VAMT and DFS
- Implemented a new solution for the video call center department, which reduced significantly the cost per workstation while also improving remote administration
- Strengthened the Windows infrastructure by introducing a centralized manageable antivirus and implementing several GPOs and security policies
- Designed and implemented an efficient procedure for offboarding, resulting in the removal of over 170 ultra-old email accounts
- Planned, coordinated and executed the migration of the security appliance/router/DHCP from Sonicwall to Cisco Meraki on three Guadalajara facilities in less than two hours
- Obtained the CMNO Certified Meraki Network Operator certification and assisted peers, leader and manager in achieving the same certification
- Became the most active member of the help desk ever, with over 17,000 actions in the ticketing system

In 2004 I began frequenting a small internet café located near my house due to the absence of a personal computer. Over time, I started assisting other customers who were unfamiliar with computers. A few months after, I became the IT technician, and the first thing I did was upgrading the 8 computers from Windows ME to Windows XP.
Between 2008 and 2015 I provided IT services to a range of clients in the Guadalajara area, including government, global corporations, as well as micro and small businesses.
Notable achievement:
- Coordinated and executed a tech refresh project encompassing 52 offices in different locations, completing the entire project within a remarkably short span of 10 days
Technical Support Coordinator at Grupo Carcam

Hired as a CCTV and POS technician at this micro-enterprise. Within 8 months, earned a promotion to Technical Support Coordinator.
Accomplishments:
- Mastered the installation of CCTV systems from scratch, beginning on my very first day, working independently within customers’ facilities
- Successfully installed and configured over 30 CCTV systems, managing tasks such as server setup, cabling, camera configuration, and network setup
